How many clues do I need to respond in each round?

During a round, you must respond to 5 clues.

During double Jeopardy, you must respond to another 5 clues.

During Final Jeopardy, you are provided with only 1 clue.

Tip #1: Daily Double and Final Jeopardy clues cannot be passed.

Tip #2: Don't forget, there is one Daily Double clue hidden in each Jeopardy and Double Jeopardy round. Find this clue to increase your score.

What happens if I pass a clue?

You are not penalized for passing a clue.

However, you will also not receive any points or gems from the clue.

Tip: Pass strategically!

What is the daily double?

Daily Double is randomly hidden behind one clue on the Jeopardy! round and Double Jeopardy! round.

If you uncover a Daily Double clue, a wager must be placed before responding.

Once the wager is placed, you will be given 20 seconds to respond. If you respond correctly you will receive points equal to the amount of your wager. If you respond incorrectly you will lose points equal to your wager from your point total.

Tip #1: Powerups cannot be used when responding to Daily Double clues.

Tip #2: A wager can range from a minimum of 0 points to a maximum of your entire score or the highest clue value available in the round, whichever is greater.

How do I win a game?

Win a game of Jeopardy! World Tour by coming in first place with the most points at the end of the Final Jeopardy! round.

Tip: During the game, you receive points for correctly responding to clues, and lose points for incorrectly responding to clues.

What is XP?

XP Stands for Experience Points - these are collected after each game you play, regardless of the final outcome.

When you collect enough XP you will gain a level. All Cities have level restrictions; if you're not a high enough level you can't play in that city yet. The more cities you unlock, the more JD you can win!

You can check to see how many XP you've collected and how many more you need to level up by tapping the XP Bar in the upper left corner of the Jeopardy! World Tour home screen - just look for the lightbulb!

Do I get XP if I lose the game?

Yes! You receive XP regardless of whether you win or lose a game!

Tip: Play on the highest stage to receive the most amount of XP.

How can I enter the Final Jeopardy Round?

To enter the Final Jeopardy! round you must have an in-game point total greater than zero at the end of the Double Jeopardy! round.

How do I play the Final Jeopardy Round?

The Final Jeopardy! round features one clue and is similar to a Daily Double.

At the beginning of the Final Jeopardy! round, you will be presented with the category of the clue. Once you have read the category, you will be asked to place your wager between 0 and your point total. After placing your wager, you will be presented with the clue and given 20 seconds to respond. If you responded correctly you will receive points equal to the amount of your wager. If you responded incorrectly, you will lose points equal to your wager from your point total. Tip #1: Place your wager depending on the point total of your opponents and how confident you are about the category.

Tip #2: Powerups cannot be used during the Final Jeopardy! round.

How do I shuffle categories?

When you begin a round of Jeopardy!, categories are randomly selected for your game, just like on the show!

However, Jeopardy! World Tour offers you a chance to tilt the odds in your favour with the Category Shuffler. The Category Shuffler allows you to randomly re-shuffle the categories on the clue board, giving you a different set of clues for that round. Use the Category Shuffler when you don’t feel confident about the current set of categories on the clue board. You can even shuffle the Final Jeopardy! category!

The price for using the Category Shuffler doubles after each shuffle but resets after a round.

Tip: A category you’ve shuffled away can still show up randomly in your future games, so stay sharp!

What are win streaks?

Are you really smart, or did you just get lucky in that last game? Jeopardy! World Tour rewards the consistent dominance of your brainpower with Win Streaks!

When you win a game on your highest unlocked stage, we’ll let you know that you’re on a Win Streak! You’ll receive an ever increasing number of gold bars for each consecutive win on your highest stage, up to 8 wins in a row! But be careful: one loss and your streak will end, and you’ll have to work your way up from zero again…if you don’t have a Win Streak Saver, that is!

Wagered too much on your last Final Jeopardy! response and cost yourself the game…and your Win Streak? No problem: use a Win Streak Saver! Spend a few gold bars and your Win Streak progress is preserved, giving you another chance to win a game and increase your Win Streak!

Tip: You’ll only receive a Win Streak bonus the first time you reach each goal per week, but your Win Streak counter automatically resets every week, meaning the rewards are there for the earning once again!

What are powerups?

Jeopardy! World Tour adds a unique and strategic spin to your game of Jeopardy! with Powerups. Each Powerup has a unique effect. Use Powerups during the game to gain the upper hand over your opponents or to get more gems!

At the beginning of your game, you will spin for 3 random Powerups. You can only use each of these Powerups once during the game, so use them wisely! If you don’t like a Powerup you’ve received, you also have the option to buy a re-spin. Buying re-spins can allow you to personalize a Powerup strategy for your game!

Using Powerups is easy. After you select a clue on the clueboard, your remaining Powerups will appear at the bottom of the screen. Simply tap the Powerup you’d like to use and you will immediately see the effect. Keep in mind you can only use 1 Powerup per clue.

Powerups are powerful, but they do have their limits; they can’t be used when responding to Daily Double or Final Jeopardy! clues, so plan carefully.

Powerups don’t carry over between games, so any Powerups you don’t use in a game will be discarded. Make sure you use them all for maximum effect!
